There is often a stigma around going out to eat alone either for fear of embarrassment or social anxiety. While restaurants do accommodate tables for one, often a restaurant is filled with larger groups of people rather than solos.

Challenge:

Approach:

Aiming to solve this problem, it was important to create a space that was a safe haven to those wanting to dine solo, a community for individuals to feel empowered in an environment that is normally tailored towards groups of people.

Solution:

Solo Supper Club situates itself uniquely by being a restaurant that is specifically for “tables for one”. Here, solos can enjoy a comfort meal with a side of journaling in response to curated reflective prompts. Solo Supper Club is a warm, cozy, and inviting space that restores confidence in spending time alone and doing things for yourself. Now that is food for thought.

Food for Thought:

What if we all spent less time worrying about how other people are spending their time and instead, focus on the value of our own time and how you choose to spend it. Take a second and remind yourself of 3 things that enjoy solely in your own company…

The strategy for Solo Supper Club’s advertisements is to encourage the consumer to indulge in oneself and enjoy your own company rather than feed into social constructs such as FOMO.

Advertising

Solo Supper Club’s website allows visitors to make reservations, learn about the restaurant, and get in contact.

Website Presence

Food for thought.
